Ever since Donald Trump took office as President, he has been issuing tariff threats to almost every country. Not just America’s adversaries even its closest allies have faced tariff warnings from Trump. Currently, he has sent letters to 12 countries outlining certain trade related proposals, with a warning that if they don't agree by August 1, new tariffs will be imposed on that very day. Trump’s behavior may seem extremely aggressive and dangerous, but a recent revelation from a White House insider paints a different picture. Speaking to Politico, the insider claimed that Trump’s tariff threats are fake, merely a “theatrical show” designed to grab media attention and portray himself as a tireless worker for the American people.
