Russia to Recruit 1 Million Indian Workers in 2025 Amid Historic Labour Crisis

Due to a declining population, Russia has been facing a severe labor shortage, which existed even before the Russia–Ukraine war. However, the war has turned this shortage into a full-blown crisis. Currently, the demand for workers in Russia is extremely high. To address this, the Russian government has decided to recruit nearly 1 million (10 lakh) Indian workers by 2025. This development comes as very good news for Indians, as it will create new employment opportunities abroad. Indian workers will also be able to send remittances back home, which in turn will strengthen India’s economy.
