India is a Strategic Ally in Indo-Pacific, Says White House; Major Trade Deal Coming Soon

After Donald Trump’s fake ceasefire rant and Pakistan receiving a bailout from the IMF, it seemed that there was some strain in India–U.S. relations. However, during a recent press briefing, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt stated that India is strategically important to the United States in the Indo-Pacific region. She also confirmed that a major trade deal between India and the U.S. is expected soon, indicating that after finalizing a deal with China, India is next in line.
